The first part of this trip will be by land as we fly into Fairbanks and travel to Denali and Anchorage. The second part of this trip will be by sea as we cruise with Princess Cruises through Alaska’s Inside Passage.

Journey to the interior of Alaska to explore America’s last frontier. Marvel at majestic mountain peaks, glacial fjords, deep forests, tundra wilderness, blue waters and open skies. See grizzly bears, Dall sheep, humpback whales, sea lions, bald eagles, moose and caribou as you travel across some of Alaska’s most unfettered terrain. Land Portion at a Glance

DAY 1 Alaska's "Golden Heart City" of Fairbanks is a great introduction to the heart of this unique state. Check in to the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge and get ready for the beginning of your adventure. Welcome dinner.

DAY 2 Breakfast. This morning, take a Gold Dredge 8 Tour with the chance to pan for your own gold. Enjoy a hearty miner's lunch before taking a cruise on an authentic Sternwheeler Riverboat down the Chena River. The evening is at leisure in Fairbanks. Dinner.

DAY 3 Breakfast. Say goodbye to Fairbanks for the spectacular trip to Denali National Park via scenic motorcoach. You'll be welcomed at the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge for a 2-night retreat. Enjoy the spectacular main lodge, river view deck, and Princess Village with the popular Christmas cottage and sugar shack. Dinner.

DAY 4 Breakfast. Explore Denali National Park on a Tundra Wilderness Tour, watching for glimpses of Denali as well as Denali's "Big Five"; bears, moose, caribou, wolves and Dall sheep. Dinner.

DAY 5 Breakfast. Travel by Princess Rail service to Denali State Park for two nights at the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. Take in the sensational views of Denali and the Alaska Range or on the expansive deck. Dinner.

DAY 6 Breakfast. A full day at Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge means you'll have ample time to both relax and explore. Tour a sled dog kennel and meet an Iditarod musher and his team of sled dogs. Lunch included. Dinner.

BY SEA

After visiting the interior of Alaska set sail on Princess for a relaxing 7-day cruise of southeastern Alaska. Experience the luxury of state-of-the art cruise ship amenities and service, fine dining, professional entertainment and your stateroom with private veranda. While cruising the Inside Passage, witness quaint villages, native cultures and majestic glaciers. Three shore excursions included. An American Classic Tour Director will accompany you for the entire trip to ensure a most memorable travel experience.

DAY 7 Breakfast. Arrive in the coastal city of Whittier to board the Discovery Princess and begin a 7-day cruise. Dinner.

DAY 8 Day at sea aboard Discovery Princess through Hubbard Glacier. Private American Classic Welcome Reception. All meals included aboard the ship.

DAY 9 Day at sea aboard Discovery Princess through Glacier Bay National Park. All meals included.

Expect up to 1 hour of required walking or standing at a time on some tour days. This tour may involve navigating f lights of stairs and uneven surfaces such as cobblestones, gravel trails, or rough pavement. On average this tour features required walking totaling approximately 2-3 miles per day.

Tour Pacing:

This tour features a more robust itinerary with frequent visits to attractions. Due to longer tour length and larger geographical areas covered, this itinerary involves more extensive travel.
